The construction of the Sibiu-Făgăraș highway, an important project for Romania's infrastructure, has begun with the participation of a Turkish construction industry consortium. The implementation of the project requires a significant workforce, with the involvement of approximately one thousand workers, Știrile ProTV reports. In order to attract construction professionals, the contractor offers competitive salaries, which can reach up to 9,000 lei net for experienced workers.
In addition, a residential module camp is available for project participants. Builders have already begun to create the technology roads that are essential for moving machines and workers. A camp that can accommodate 500 workers has already been established in Cârța. Recruitment is underway, with a particular focus on personnel specialized in the handling of construction machinery. Salaries here start at 5,000 lei net, but can increase significantly due to overtime and night work.
The highway between Sibiu and Făgăraș will be 68 kilometers long, including 7 road junctions and 12 viaducts. It will take over part of the traffic of the DN1 road, thereby becoming a strategic alternative route for the Olt Valley, facilitating the reduction of travel time between Bucharest and Sibiu.
