Transport Minister Jozef Ráž launched the third large-scale motorway tender and will soon start the fourth procedure. Companies are given three months to submit their offers. However, the first two tenders, which are already in progress, have not been successful in the business world and will be extended due to complaints. The economy of the Kysuce region is booming. The fact that there are several large car factories operating in the region, and even beyond the state borders, contributes greatly to this.
Last week, Hospodárske Noviny reported that the South Korean company DH Autolead, which supplies auto parts to KIA, announced an investment in the region. However, the development of the factories in the area puts a serious burden on the road network, as trucks pile up in long lines during the day. The D3 highway, which the state treated as a priority task, can help solve the region's traffic problems. The tendering for the first section, located in the north, was already started before the summer. The tender for the second section between Kysucké Nové Mesto and Oščadnica was also launched on Wednesday. This project includes 22 bridges, a junction, a rest area and a migration corridor built for animals. "The only thing left is to call the third stage. I hope that we can implement this in the coming weeks," said Minister Jozef Ráž.
