Motorway managers have introduced the purchase of electronic motorway stickers for next year at a new price, and have also made a number of changes to the range of e-stickers. Starting with the new year, for example, the start of validity of the sticker will be moved from 13 days to 60 days. According to the SITA news agency, the National Highway Society (NDS) announced that the price of a 365-day highway sticker is 90 euros, a 30-day one is 17.10 euros, a 10-day one is 10.80 euros, and a 1-day one is 8.10 euros. Customer protection against double purchases Starting from December 2, the change in the purchase rules will bring an innovation that also includes the protection of customers against double purchases. The system no longer allows the purchase of a new highway sticker if the car already has a new sticker or the old sticker has not yet expired. According to NDS data, complaints received due to double purchases account for nearly 15 percent of sales.
Owners of electric cars do not receive discounts when purchasing a motorway sticker. Why? Starting in January, the NDS plans to make further changes to the purchase procedure to standardize the purchase rules for all electronically available highway stickers. Until now, the start of the sticker's validity could be postponed 13 days after the date of purchase, from now on it can be purchased with a 60-day advantage. Official e-sticker purchase channels Motorists are advised by highway operators to purchase e-stickers only through official channels, such as the www.eznamka.sk website, eZnamka mobile application, and information and sales points at border crossings (Brodské, Čunovo, Jarovce, Skalité, Milhosť), or at other 400 locations in the country. How much does the new one-day motorway sticker cost? The government approved the award. Intermediary online shops "may not update changes in payment terms in time. This situation may result in situations where motorists may pay higher fees compared to official sales channels without having a valid e-sticker," NDS added.
