Famous sights of Bulgaria, motorway vignette
Sofia
The capital, Sofia, took first place among Bulgaria's sights. The capital with 1.24 million inhabitants is one of the largest cities. Sofia is historically and culturally rich, and is also a very popular hiking and skiing resort. Sofia can be reached via four highways, the A1, A2, A6 and A7 converge here. It is important to know that it is mandatory to buy a Bulgarian motorway sticker on these tracks.
The city itself is located in the lap of a valley. Given that the average height above sea level is 550 m, the capital is the second highest settlement in the European Union after Madrid. Its most visited places include the 2,290 m high Vitosa Mountains. Due to the high level difference, the hikers will enjoy a special sight, which will almost certainly provide a lasting experience for the visitors. Sofia cannot boast of long, wide rivers crossing landscapes, but the city's two bridges were built over small, shallow watercourses: the Eagle Bridge spans the Perlovska River, and the Lion Bridge spans the Vladajska River.
Burgash
If adventurers are looking for souvenirs, champagne, or cavalcades, then it is recommended to visit the city of Burgas. In this region, Burgas is the administrative and economic center. It is worth walking along Aleksandrovska at least once, as this is where the greatest life is. You can discover an abundance of restaurants and boutiques. There are several excellent museums and monuments waiting to be discovered by visitors. The easiest way to get to this place full of experiences is via the A1 and A4 highways.
Kableshkovoi Market
Kableshkovo is a small village, the fastest way to get there is the highway 906. This village has a market day every Thursday. The visit is specifically for those who like original, unusual specialties. Vendors and local restaurants treat tourists to these small delicacies. Anyone who is curious and has a taste for Bulgarian cuisine is warmly welcomed on the Sunny Beach promenade. Definitely not to be missed!
Rila kolostor
Many people compare the Rila Monastery to the Bulgarian Jerusalem, its approach is the shortest route by turning off the A1 highway and taking the 107 road. The monastery itself cannot be compared to anything because of its picturesque view from the 10th century. This place of pilgrimage is located 117 km from the capital, which is also on the UNESCO World Heritage List. As the hikers get further inside, they can gradually admire the inner courtyard, the graceful arches and the magical frescoes. The museum specially built for the monastery is also worth visiting.
He would wait
Varna is Bulgaria's third largest city, an impressive resort, not to mention that it is also famous for its beaches. It is the dream of mostly younger people who want to have fun with its lively night festivals. In summer, it is also called the second capital of Bulgaria. Its twenty km long sandy beach is perfect for sunbathing and relaxing. It is recommended to take a walk in the city or look around the area, otherwise visitors can easily miss the Hungarian monuments. The most visited was the Ulászló memorial museum, which commemorates the unfortunate collision of János Hunyadi. The city is at least as important from a commercial point of view as it is from a tourist point of view.
