The section of the new road between Páty and the M1 motorway, which is 1.4 kilometers long, has been handed over. Thanks to the second section of the new connecting road, the center of Páty and its industrial zone will become easier to access. This, as well as the first section delivered last December, will significantly reduce the load on the accident-prone and narrow roads of the city center.
The ceremony was attended by: Bálint Nagy, Secretary of State responsible for transport at the Ministry of Construction and Transport, Tamás Menczer, Fidesz-KDNP communications director and parliamentary representative, and László Székely, mayor of Páty. The current development included the construction of a 1.4 kilometer long, 2x1 lane road section, which was necessary from a traffic, traffic safety, residential and economic point of view.
During the investment, two new roundabouts were also created, and the wear layer of Rákóczi Street was also replaced on another 1.4 kilometers. As part of the project, a 775-meter noise-shielding wall was built, dynamic motion-sensing public lighting, communications, and low- and medium-voltage electrical lines, water supply, waste water drainage, hydrocarbon lines, and a rainwater drainage system were also built. The construction of both sections was carried out by Mészáros és Mészáros Zrt.
In the first phase, the 2x1 lane connecting road was built with 3.5 meter wide lanes, 7.5 meter road surface width and 11 meter crown width, while between the two roundabouts with 3.25 meter lane width and 9.5 meter crown width, a total of 900 meters. During the first phase, two new roundabouts were built, as well as the bridge of the Füzes stream was renovated and the stream bed was arranged; 160 meters of road No. 81106 were rebuilt and connections were built to the Sasfészek rest area junction and to the existing dirt road network. With the completion of the two sections, the highway connection, which had been expected for decades, was created in the settlement in Pest County, so Páty and Biatorbágy were also freed from passing traffic. A total of 2.3 kilometers of new roads were built, which makes it easier to reach the settlements.
The development was realized with domestic funds, the investment of the Ministry of Construction and Transport and the construction of Mészáros és Mészáros Zrt., from a net amount of about HUF 4.4 billion. The net cost of the construction of the second phase, which has just been completed, was approximately HUF two billion.
